Hostess special, and party at my house!!
Good Sunny Morning. Sorry I didn’t post yesterday the internet at the beach is quite unreliable. Not to worry, this is a sunny card to share this morning. I copied this from the internet, so if this is your design, please let me know and I will give you credit.
When I find a design I like I copy the picture to a word doc. I have a huge inspiration file, and I am not always diligent in noting who the original designer is. The great thing is I have a go to file, the bad is I can’t always give credit where credit is due.
Today's card is using the hostess set "because I care". The base is peach parfait, the textured piece is pear pizzazz and the flower is coloured with concord grape...all these are the new in colours, and I love them!

A great "GO-TO" design
What a fabulous day! Once again I am enjoying the sunshine at Sauble Beach. This week I brought limited supplies as I want to showcase what you can do with some designer paper, a sentiment stamp and a punch.
This design is what I would call a “go-to” card. I totally cased the dimensions and instructions from Andrea Walford. She is one talented lady. I substituted the dsp and added a punched flower, otherwise it is a total copy of her card you can see HERE.
• Very Vanilla card
• Centre and stick a 3 3/4″ x 3″ piece of the Newsprint DSP along the top of a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Cherry Cobbler CS.
• Centre and stick a 2″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Very Vanilla CS along the bottom of the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Early Espresso CS. The Very Vanilla CS will overlap the DP.
• Lay a 5″ piece of Black Satin Ribbon across the seam between the Very Vanilla CS and the DP. Bring the ends of the ribbon around to the back of the CS and stick them down with SNAIL adhesive.
• Centre and stick the matted DP to the Very Vanilla card front with SNAIL adhesive.
• Stamp the greeting from the Sincere Salutations stamp set in Cherry Cobbler Classic ink onto the Very Vanilla CS, towards the left side of the CS. Use a Stamp-a-ma-jig if necessary.
• Punch out one black scallop circle, and cut between each petal. Then punch out 3 Cherry Cobbler scallop circles. Scrunch them up, and attach to the black base. Add a little bling, and there you have it.
Thanks for stopping by...I will be back tomorrow with the details of my next class...this is one you won't want to miss!!!

Because I Care
Once again, a total copy of from a talented demo, and I am soooo sorry, I don't remember who it is! I used my Big Shot to cut out the scalloped circle card, and my old coluzzle to cut the circle. The flower was stamped and coloured 3 times, then I cut out various sections, and popped them up with dimensionals. In real life it is so elegant.
Thanks to Andrea we had a really fun workshop last Thursday. As well, thanks to Nancy and gang for finding a great place for us to get together to scrap, all day on Sat. We met up at Pop's diner on Clarke and Gore Rd, and had the entire place to ourselves from 2-9pm. Kim prepared a lovely supper for us, so please stop by...you can't beat breakfast for $4.95.
If you are interested in joining up with us, leave me a comment, and we will be sure to let you know the next time we meet.

I amour artistic etchings....
These cards were inspired by a talented demo. I would love to post a link, however, only demo's have access to the gallery. Just one more reason, you may want to consider becoming a demo. Great friends, tons of inspiration, great product and so much more. Drop me a line if you would like to discuss the other benefits of becoming a demo.
Had a wonderful time with Andrea and her friends last night. We stamped up a storm, and as a result everyone left with 2 fun cards, and Andrea scored a bunch of free stuff. Hosting a workshop is so much fun...all you need to do is invite some friends, and as I promised I will bring the treats.
Enjoy your weekend...

Would you like this stampset for free???
If the answer is yes, then all you need to do is call 7 or 8 friends, and invite them over for an evening of stamping fun. Best of all...I do all the work, heck, I will even bring the snacks if you like! The only way you can get this stampset is by hosting a workshop.
It is so versatile, and the ways to use it are only limited by your time and your imagination. This card was cased from Jen Sannes, check out her blog HERE. The crumb cake is such a lovely soft colour, and paired with whisper white makes a very elegant presentation.
Drop me a line, and let me know when you would like to earn your free stampset, and we can make a date.

Artistic Etchings
When I first saw this set, I thought, not for me! However, after seeing some incredible designs, I was hooked. These cards were totally cased and inspired by Jo-Ann Pullen, check out her blog HERE.
The base of the card is very vanilla, and the accent colour is the new Baja Breeze...love it. The medallions are stamped using the new daffodil delight, and the distressing is done with Early Expresso.
Enjoy your day.

Sometimes simple is best...
We made this card last week at the open house, and I LOVE IT. Simply layout and colour scheme of white and real red. This could easily changed up and still have the same immpact. The stampset is Upsey Daisy...a real classic. To get the shadow effect I stamped once, then shifted the stamp ever so slightly and stamped again. Very cool.
Enjoy your week....I am planning on another Open House evening, this Friday from 6-9. We will make this card (maybe in different colour combo) and there is still plenty of great deals on paper, punches and retired stampsets.
Let me know if you plan on popping by...

Elements of Style Toile
Good Morning Friends, finally some relief from the heat wave we have had here. A gentle, much needed rain is falling, making for a lovely day! We are traveling this weekend to see my niece and her hubby and attending a huge cattle sale. They have a beautiful farm at Belleville, and tonight and this weekend are hosting their friends and business associates for a Jersey Sale. My Mom and Dad are going with us, so it will make for a nice little family reunion.
I have to say, this is one of my all time favourite cards I have made. Totally copied from a number of sources on the net, and it really looks like toile fabric. The image is stamped with regular ink, then I used the blender pen to pull the colour through the image. I make a beautiful soft effect. The base image is done the same way, however, I ran it through the textured embossing folder from the mini. The colour combo is crumb cake and rich razzleberry. Give this technique a try, use other colours, I have one almost done using black, and WOW, is it elegant.
Enjoy your weekend, I know I will...and make sure you take some time out for yourself to create.

Happy Canada Day...
Or should I say Happy Catalog Day...that's right...the new catty is available. You can check it out HERE, or you can come to my house next Wed, grab a refreshment, and a spot of your own, and browse through this great catty. I say it every year...BUT THIS CATTY IS THE BEST EVER!!
What a spectacular day here at the beach. Blue skies for as far as you can see, and if you stay out of the shade the sun is HOT, HOT, HOT. Tonight my Hubby will be here, and we will take a stroll down to the beach and watch the fireworks.
Enjoy your day...picnic, barbeque, chillaxin.....whatever your pleasure...have fun!
