For those on my mailing list, I sent a note offering some teasers for the upcoming Fall Stampers Club...Rock n roll, kissing and fun..oh my! I am asking for suggestions on what YOU would like to do this fall as far as classes and techniques go.

Here is a picture of the blog candy I am putting up...all you need to do is offer a suggestion on a fun class you would like to attend. From all the comments I will select 1 to win the stamp set pictured...I do need to say this is for Canadian Gals only...

Beate's Weekend Challenge

This card was made with some leftovers from a Simply Scrappin Kit. These are great value at $23.95 and include 2 sheets each of 4 colours of textured card stock, 6 sheets of self adhesive die-cuts, and 6 sheets of double sided paper. As you can see form this card...they aren't just for scrapping...If you would like to see the full line of new arrivals..let me know and I can get you a new catty!

A fun Beach Craft

In Southhampton each summer, there is a great craft show. I love to see what is new in the crafting world and always leave with a little purchase and tons of ideas. This year a very creative lady (I don't have her name) created the most unique pictures out of beach pebbles and other finds she gathered on her daily walks along the shore of Lake Huron. Here is my take on her idea..a picture of my family done in beach pebbles and a little sticker. The frame and the mat are from the dollar store, so all in all a very inexpensive project that anyone could copy. Thanks for looking, enjoy your day...

3 x 3 Gift Card set

I live a charmed life...this week, and next I am on vacation. We have a trailer at a terrific park, 5 minutes away from the most beautiful beach in Ontario. Tomorrow my hubby and youngest daughter are coming, then next week Kathryn and I will be at the beach everyday (I hope). It has been wonderful sitting at the picnic table, crafting, taking a break, crafting some more...this really is the life!

Once again, I used a tutorial from SplitcoastStampers, you can find it here. These little boxes make terrific hostess gifts. I gave this one away this evening, and my friend showed it to everyone! The directions are so easy...and a great way to use up bits and pieces of left over paper.

Hello Friends..one of the best resources for stamping and scrapping is Splitcoaststampers. Each day there is a new challenge, and for Wednesday's it is a sketch challenge. The 2 cards above are based on the sketch. Hope you enjoy. You can find the challenge list here

Both these cards are 4 x 4. I used choc chip for the base, then used up some of my retired designer paper. I used both Heartfelt Thanks and Embrace Life stampsets. The flowers are highlighted with Crystal Effects..makes for a really nice dimension on your cards.

Sock Monkey

When I first saw this little sock monkey, it really didn't appeal to me...however, once I started to play with the little guy, he really grew on me. This is a pretty basic layout..one I use often...just changing the image and colour combo. Check out the inside of the card..that is the surprise. This was a technique all the convention goers saw..so there are tons of samples out there. Enjoy your day!

Isn't this a wonderful picture? This is my daughter and our good friend Merry, leaving a campfire at Pearce Williams Christian Centre. The kids broke into a spontaneous rendition of "Our God is an awesome God..." as campfire was ending...so fitting.
