Little Box of Inspiration

My friend Jennifer had a box of Angel cards on her desk, and I thought...why not make a set for myself. So I did just that. This box is going to camp with my oldest daughter Meaghan to use as a little daily inspiration.

This really demonstrates the versatility of the BIG SHOT..the lid is the top note die, on a little hinged box. Inside are the cards and this little verse:

Dear Lord

So far today, I am doing all right.

I have not gossiped, lost my temper, been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or self-indulgent. I have not whined, complained, cursed, or eaten any chocolate. I have nothing charged on my credit card.

But I will be getting out of bed in a minute, and I think that I will really need your help then!

If you would like the template for the little inspiration cards, leave a comment with your email address and I will be happy to send it to you.

Thanks for stopping by...and enjoy this lovely sunny day!

Big Shot Punch Buggy:

As promised...I am here with a sample of a project we will make in the new club being formed. This card shows you what you can do with the big shot, some punches and lots of inspiration from talented ladies on Splitcoaststampers.

This is for a friend at work, so I needed a big card for everyone to sign. I started with a full sheet of pink pirouette paper, layered on white, then another layer of pink pirouette designer series paper.
The buggy is a large scallop die cut in half and using a texture plate, embossed with big dots. The hood is about a 1/4 of the scallop...run through the small dots tecture plate, then I scored to make it look more like a collapsable hood. The handle is a piece from the peace, love, joy die. The wheels are from a sizzlet, and the centres are build a brads. I added some trim that used the scallop edged punch. This was lots of fun, and took no time at all to put together.

Remember you only have till the end of May to take advantage of the specials:

New club forming...

I am putting the finishing touches on a new club. We will be using a variety of punches and dies for the Big Shot. Each month we will create 3-d projects and wonderful cards using tips and techniques that will have you looking at your punches in a whole new light!

Animals, boxes, and creations galore. Add to your punch and die collection and see how versatile these tools can be.

Please let me know if you are interested, and I will be happy to send you all the details. We get started in July, and your first gift from me is the new catalogue. In your "hostess month", in addition to the hostess benefits, you will receive from me a pkg of your favourite assorted cardstock. If we have 6 in the club the monthly order is $35.00, if we get 8 it will be $25.00.

Hope you will find this exciting...I can hardly wait to get started.

I wish it was still the weekend...

Why is it that on the Monday of the long weekend we find ourselves wishing it were Friday, so we could start it all over? Do you feel that way too? We went to the beach this weekend..but didn't spend much time in the sand...the temp last night dropped below freezing...so happy we have a snug little trailer to call home!

I did take some stamping stuff with me, but I started a book, and can't put it down. You will have to be content with me posting the last of the gift sets I made last weekend.

Hope the sun is shining where you are.

It's almost the weekend...

This is our long weekend, and typically it is a cold and rainy start to the summer festivities. With any luck, we will only get some rain on Saturday, then sun for the rest of the weekend. If not..I guess I will just have to stamp!

Here is another set of cards I made last weekend...let me tell you these make up so quickly. I am in love with my big shot...those butterflies are such a nice embellishment to add to any project. The stampset is Heartfelt Thanks, a pretty versatile set, don't you think? Also a wonderful way to use up retired, or new designer paper.

We are enjoying a lovely evening here in Southwestern Ontario...I hope yours is a nice!

Card sets..Inspired by Angie Kennedy Juda

I had so much fun making these boxes and cards. I gave a set to my Mom, and sister, and sister in law and a dear friend...
They made for a nice gift on Mother's Day and by keeping the designs fairly simple, I was able to make all the cards (28) and 4 boxes yesterday morning.

Here is the first set...check back, I will post the rest later this week. The boxes are made with a sheet of designer paper...this is a great time to stock up on paper as Stampin Up is offering buy 3, get one free. Let me know if you wish to order, or check out my demo site HERE, and order for yourself.

Stop by later this week and I will show you the other 3 sets I made.

Happy Mother's Day

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,

I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,

I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom,

I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom,

I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,

I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom...
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom .

Send this to someone who you think is an awesome Mom.

May you always be overwhelmed by the Grace of God rather than by the cares of life
