What a great weekend it is shaping up to be....
This is a lovely little gift set I came up with. The box actually will fold down flat and is so easy to make. It is simple to make and really packs a wow factor. It will nicely hold some 4 x 4 cards, and would make a really nice little hostess gift. Check out the video from Kimberley Van Diepen...it is easy to follow. Please let me know how you make out...it is nice to hear when someone has actually tried something I post.
We are enjoying a fantastic sunny day here. Whatever your plans...I hope you have fun.

UFO Event
Well, I only had one guess at the theme of our next event...so CherylAnn, send me your address, and I will send you the little calendar.
UFO stands for Unfinished Objects...and that is the theme for March 27th. Bring any and all of your unfinished, half finished, half started projects. This event is expanding so there will be some options available...you pick what suits you best.
UFO Event
Sat March 27th
745 York St
There are 2 options:
Option 1. 9-5, includes lunch, snacks and plenty of work space. The fee is $10.00.
Option 2. 9-9, includes all the above, plus hot supper. The fee for 9-9 is $20.00.
Here is the card I made for my nephew. He works for CAT, so I totally copied Jackie Topa's tractor card. This card is so fun, as the front actually goes up and down on the brad. It was a hit.
Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to let me know if you can make it on March 27th...we are a fun group, and despite all the yacking, we manage to get alot done!

Happy Valentine's Day
Hope you all had a lovely day. Our house has been hit with a flu bug. YUCK. I got it first, and then my daughter and now my hubby have all been taken down. Oh well, it is just another day!
I have a niece and nephew who share a birthday today, and another niece who's birthday is on the 17th. I had so much fun making these triple deck cards, and they really pack a WOW factor to the receiver. The paper is from mini, "Sending Love" and is so sparkly and shimmery. The stampset is from Salebration, and can be yours free with a $65.00 order. It is called Happy Moments, and I know this is one I will be using for a long time to come. The sentiment is also from the occasions mini, "well scripted".
This card template was designed by a very talented local demo..thanks so much Heather. There are 3 parts to the card, and when you pull the tab they pull up...looks like a wedding cake! Which would be another great idea for this type of card using the "Bride" paper from the catty.
Be sure to add a comment to the post below...and take a guess at what the "UFO" stands for in my upcoming "UFO Event!"
Hope you got a lovely valentine's gift...I am off to make a pot of tea for my hubby....sometimes it is the simple things that say "I love you" the most!

What a wonderful way to spend a day.....
Thank you to the 12 ladies who joined the fun yesterday at our Valentine's Crop. There was plenty of yakkin, lots of crafting, and most of all good times spent with FRIENDS!
We made the popular easel card. I must admit, this is becoming a new addiction. Hop over to Splitcoast for a tutorial...they really are easy. For the samples here I used 4 8" piece of paper, scored at 2 and 4. Then layered on a piece that is 3.75 x 3.75 punched with the new scallop punch which you can get free with a $65.00 order.
Save the date for March 27th, as that is our next Crop at Yorkview.
Today I am headed out to Pearce Williams Christian Centre. We are hosting an event for "Give a Day, Get a Day" and are expecting over 150 volunteers to come out and help with some early spring clean up. As a result...they will all get a one day pass to Disney...how fun.
The sun is shining, life is good...hope you have a wonderful day!
