"Sliding" by to show you something new!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day...it has been forever since I have stamped for fun. I am fighting a very bad tooth (appt on friday, ouch!) and haven't been feeling much like doing anything. However, Valentine's Day is big in our house as I have a niece and nephew with birthday's and another niece with a birthday Tuesday. We are getting together for a big family celebration today at noon, so I got busy and tried something new.

These are slider cards, however there is a little twist and these are easier than the one made with the penny! Here is a link to Poppy's site, where I got the idea from. Hope you like them. This is one of the ideas we will be making at Yorkview on Wed night for our club night.

The truck is from loads of love, and I coloured them with blender pens and ink, on Stampin up watercolour paper. I love the soft look, and you can really add dimension in your stamping by starting with a light colour, then blending in the darker colour on top. In these examples, I only used one colour, but made sure to leave some white in the centre, to add some depth to the design.

The Big Shot sure comes in handy for making the little flowers and bird on the other 2 cards.

Hope you enjoy this weekend, let me know how you are spending your day, and if what you got as a valentine's treat!
