Step Card
This type of card is always a bit intimidating to me, however with a great video tutorial by Dawn, it really is quite simple. The chocolate chip is embossed with the little dots impression folder from the Mini (which is over on April 30th). The stamp set I used is a level 3 hostess set from the current catalog called Kind and Caring thoughts. This will be retiring on July 1st. Now is the time to book a workshop. Fantastic incentives...who doesn't like free stuff? I have lots of open time, so give me a call and we can set something up. I will even provide the treats!!
Be sure to check out my previous post...and let me know if you can join the fun on Thurs evening.

More from the weekend....
Hello Friends...I know...surprise, 2 days in a row and I am posting! There is just so much to show you from the weekend. This card is another design based on the paper pals sketch. Love the colours or burmuda bay, soft suede and old olive together. The butterflies are punched with the coordinating butterfly punch that matches "Flight of the butterflies", and are made of vellum.
Later this week I will letting you in on all the details for 2 upcoming events. The first is a fun fold card (yes Julie, this is for you!) just in time for Mother's Day. The other event will be a spring stamp a stack.
Enjoy your week, and like I said..."I'll be back!"

Pals Paper Arts
Happy Sunday Evening. What a fantastic weekend I had. Thanks to Karen and Lisa, I enjoyed 2 great days at their spring Cropalooza. So much fun. The venue was handy, the ladies were so lovely and I got a ton accomplished. For the last couple of weeks, I have played along with the Pals Paper Arts weekly challenges. This week is a sketch challenge and I have to say I LOVE IT! The card I am showing tonight is a show stopper. It turned out better than I expected...and was the last card I made this weekend. The flowers are punched out, then I snipped them and layered them to give the dimension. I used the little leaves embosslet for the Big Shot, and also some of the little birdie wings from the Bird Punch.
Be sure to play along...and let me know if were able to get a card made. I would love to see it.
Check back frequently this week as I have a lot to share....

Big shot flower power
It is fun to get compliments on my creations, but I always do my best to give credit to the original creator. I tell my friends I don't have a creative bone in my body, but I can copy something pretty well! This card is proof of that...my colours are a little different from Margaret's, but everything else is the same.
This weekend will be jam packed with fun...Crop in Nilestown all day Sat and Sun, a fun engagement/birthday party for my niece, and a nice dinner with friends on Sunday. Hope you take some time this weekend to get creative. It isn't supposed to be real nice this weekend...so it will be perfect to spend time with friends, old and new, creating, gabbing and having fun....

Flower Power
Here is a fun card for Mother's day. The frame is a pattern from a friend, and as soon as I find the dimensions I will repost. The flower is made from the large flower punch. I punched 3 flowers, scrunched them up to break down the fibres, then pulled them apart. They are put back together with a lovely brad. This is an easel card, 4 x 12" piece of cardstock, scored at 4, 6 and 8. The colours are melon mambo, crushed curry, and razzledazzle dsp.
It isn't too early to start thinking about Mother's day. Let me know how I can help!
