Loving Shabby Chic

Good Morning Stamping Friends and Relatives (Hi Jen). This card is so pretty...with lots going on. The base is the lovely new colour Marina mist, then I layerd on a piece of early expresso topped with very vanilla. The vintage wallpaper embossing folder really adds dimension and texture, I sponged early expresso over it all to give a more vintage feeling. The hydrangea is from the hostess set "Because i care". This set is so versatile. The flower is coloured with markers and the blender pen, then to add some glitz, I covered the entire flower with crystal effects! Wow, does it shine! Add on some ribbon, and a sentiment (hard to see in the picture) and you have a lovely card!

Thanks for stopping by today. Stay tuned, tomorrow I will show you what the club gals made! Just in time for Thanksgiving or Halloween, an easy peasy little gift package.

Enjoy your day, a gentle rain is falling here, and it sure has turned to fall very quickly. The leaves are changing, the pumpkins are right for the picking...a good day to stay home and create! Wish I could stay home, but as the old saying goes "I owe, I owe, so off to work I go!"

Big Shot Baby Buggy...

Say that fast 3 times! Here is a really fun card I made for a new Mom. See how versatile the Big Shot is in creating the buggy, the wheels and the butterflies? The handle is the leaf from the Big Bird Punch! I embossed the buggy with the dots embossing folder, added some dimensionals...and there you have it!

Join the fun next WED as we make a fun package for Thanksgiving, as well as a Joy Fold card...I will be back later this week with some teaser pics. This is club night for my stamp club...however it is open to anyone who would like to join the fun. The class fee is $5.00, we have fun, treats and go home with 2 fun projects. Please let me know if you plan on attending...

Enjoy the first day of fall....

Fall back...

Once again, I am falling back to use a basic design. This type of card is so easy to mass produce and can be changed up for any occasion, any season. Today I used the Greenhouse Gala paper, and the Friends never fade stampset. Add some ribbon, and there you go...a quick, impressive (even if I do say so myself) card.

Today is a lovely sunny day....great day to hang out a load of clothes...if only my washing machine hadn't picked today to stop working. It was a good old machine, and I guess in terms of dog years, she did put in a useful life! Why did she have to go with a full load of jeans, and full of water? She washes, she just doesn't spin and drain!!!!

Today and tomorrow are busy days for me,I am heading to my crafting space, spending a couple of hours organizing...then I am starting to create the projects for:

1. Stampers Club
2. Create for the Cure
3. Christmas Stamp a stack

Over the next week I will have lots to share as I am finalizing the details for the create for a cure.

Have a fantastic day....

Create for a Cure...

By popular demand I will be hosting another Create for a Cure Event. The plans are just falling into place, the projects are being created, and the venue is being booked. By the end of this week I will have all the details. There will be door prizes, early bird draws, and best of all, the chance to raise funds to fight Breast Cancer.

Now, for today's project...this is a fun little box with matching cards. I totally copied this from Heather, why mess with perfection? The stampset is a hostess set, so why not join a club, and this could be yours!!!

Enjoy your day, and stay tuned for more details on the Create for a Cure!

What a fun weekend...

We held our first "Friday Knight" stamping event...and what fun...and best of all (for me) I got tons done! Keep watch for future dates. We chatted, my punches and stampsets were out, there were some inspiration sheets around, and we created tons of stuff.

The card I am showing today was totally inspired by Jen. It is amazing by just changing up the colours, adding in a layer of marina mist, you have a very versatile and pretty card. The base is crumb cake, then I stamped the flowers from "Friends never fade" in cherry cobbler. I think I may make a set of these cards, using different colours and sentiments. Wrap them up in a cello bag, and it would make a lovely hostess gift!

Thanks for stopping by today. Wish I were still in bed. Saturday night we partied at my Niece's stag and doe till 4am...I am too old for that kind of craziness...but boy was it fun! This is the first party as we get ready to celebrate Kaitlan and Gerrit's wedding in Jamaica! We are so happy for them both, and what a fun time we will have in Jamaica!

Enjoy your week.

Friday "Knight" Stamping..are you in??

Happy Back to School day!! This is my last day of vacation, so I am trying to get myself back into a work mode. Not working at all!!! Since I have been with the bank for 25 years, I was entitled to 6 weeks vacation this year...heaven! I still have 10 days left to take, so with Christmas, and a trip to Jamaica in January...it will be gone!

This card is not mine...I took a picture of this at our last big event. Love the greenhouse gala paper.

Will you be joining us on Friday night? All you need to bring is your paper, adhesive and your ideas. You can use any of my stampsets, punches, big shot...Please let me know if you are coming so I can get some treats ready!

I just received my stash of Holiday Mini's...so you will get yours soon. If I work with you, it will be delivered, if you are on my mailing list...well it will be mailed, you can pick it up Friday night, or if you don't have a demo, live in Canada and would like one...send me a note, and I will pop one in the mail to you.

Enjoy your day....and hope to see you Friday night....

A bird in the hand.....

Well, my plans today were to play with the owl punch...I got some vests punched, some eyes punched...but I just didn't get to the bodies...maybe tomorrow. This is the best part of vacation...deciding what NOT to do!!!!

Anyway, I have been wanting to make these little birds ever since I saw them in the catalogue. Thanks to Gretchen Barron, who created a great tutorial and the templates to make these birds. Now, Gretchen used sticky strip, but I used Tombow multi glue...love that stuff....and it enables you to move the pieces around to make sure they are positioned just right. The birds are a little finicky, but well worth it. By adjusting the size of the template you can create a whole flock if you like. Wouldn't they be beautiful done in Christmas colours, with glitter and ribbon?

Be sure to read the directions...and remember to reverse one of the birds so that get the pattern facing the right direction when you put the birds together...ask me how I figured that one out! DUH!
